so I may do good in what I left behind.” Never! It is only a ˹useless˺ appeal they make. And there is a barrier behind them until the Day they are resurrected.1

﴿لَعَلِّیۤ أَعۡمَلُ صَـٰلِحࣰا﴾ بِأَنْ أَشْهَد أَنْ لَا إله إلا الله يكون ﴿فِیمَا تَرَكۡتُۚ﴾ ضَيَّعْت مِنْ عُمُرِي أَيْ فِي مقابلته قال تعالى ﴿كَلَّاۤۚ﴾ أَيْ لَا رُجُوع ﴿إِنَّهَا﴾ أَيْ رَبّ ارْجِعُونِ ﴿كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَاۤىِٕلُهَاۖ﴾ وَلَا فَائِدَة لَهُ فِيهَا ﴿وَمِن وَرَاۤىِٕهِم﴾ أَمَامهمْ ﴿بَرۡزَخٌ﴾ حَاجِز يَصُدّهُمْ عَنْ الرُّجُوع ﴿إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ یُبۡعَثُونَ ١٠٠﴾ وَلَا رُجُوع بعده
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
