Why then were they not helped by those ˹idols˺ they took as gods besides Allah, hoping to get closer ˹to Him˺? Instead, they failed them. That is ˹the result of˺ their lies and their fabrications.

অতঃপর তারা আল্লাহর সান্নিধ্য লাভের জন্য আল্লাহ্র পরিবর্তে যাদেরকে ইলাহরূপে গ্ৰহণ করেছিল তারা তাদেরকে সাহায্য করল না কেন? বরং তাদের ইলাহগুলো তাদের কাছ থেকে হারিয়ে গেল। আর এটা ছিল তাদের মিথ্যাচার ; এবং যা তারা অলীক উদ্ভাবন করছিল।
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
