As for male and female thieves, cut off their hands for what they have done—a deterrent from Allah. And Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.1

Na mwizi wa kiume na mwizi wa kike, wakateni, enyi watawala, mikono yao kuambatana na Sheria. Hayo yakiwa ni malipo yao kwa kuchukua kwao mali ya watu pasi na haki, na ni mateso ambayo kwayo Mwenyezi Mungu Anawazuia wengineo kufanya mfano wa kitendo chao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mshindi katika mamlaka Yake, ni Mwenye hekima katika amri Zake na makatazo Yake.
