قال تعالى في كفار مكة ﴿وَأَ﴾ن مُخَفَّفَة مِنْ الثَّقِيلَة وَاسْمهَا مَحْذُوف أَيْ وَأَنَّهُمْ وَهُوَ مَعْطُوف عَلَى «أَنَّهُ ٱسۡتَمَعَ» ﴿لَّوِ ٱسۡتَقَـٰمُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِیقَةِ﴾ أَيْ طَرِيقَة الْإِسْلَام ﴿لَأَسۡقَیۡنَـٰهُم مَّاۤءً غَدَقࣰا ١٦﴾ كثيرا من السماء وذلك بعد ما رُفِعَ الْمَطَر عَنْهُمْ سَبْع سِنِينَ
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
