Imām Ibn al-Jawzī (d. 597/1201) summarized the scholars' opinions in his book "Zād al-Masīr" as follows:

1. It means that whoever is present with a dying person and his bequest is unjust, then he should advise him. [Mujāhid]
2. It means that if someone makes an unjust bequest, and his guardian or an imam corrects it according to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet, then there is no sin upon him. [Qatādah]
