28:36
فلما جاءهم موسى باياتنا بينات قالوا ما هاذا الا سحر مفترى وما سمعنا بهاذا في اباينا الاولين ٣٦
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم مُّوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ قَالُوا۟ مَا هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّفْتَرًۭى وَمَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَـٰذَا فِىٓ ءَابَآئِنَا ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٣٦
فَلَمَّا
جَآءَهُم
مُّوسَىٰ
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
بَيِّنَٰتٖ
قَالُواْ
مَا
هَٰذَآ
إِلَّا
سِحۡرٞ
مُّفۡتَرٗى
وَمَا
سَمِعۡنَا
بِهَٰذَا
فِيٓ
ءَابَآئِنَا
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
٣٦
But when Moses came to them with Our clear signs, they said ˹arrogantly˺, “This is nothing but conjured magic ˹tricks˺. We have never heard of this in ˹the history of˺ our forefathers.”

A sermon should have high degree of eloquence

هُوَ أَفْصَحُ مِنِّي لِسَانًا (He is more fluent in his tongue - 28:34). This verse points out that a high degree of oratory and eloquence is desirable for sermons and preaching, and there is no harm if one takes training in that.
