The Inevitable
056

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

56:1

اذا وقعت الواقعة ١

إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ ١

ﮍ
ﮎ
ﮏ
ﮐ

When the Inevitable Event takes place,

ليس لوقعتها كاذبة ٢

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ٢

ﮑ

ﮒ

ﮓ

ﮔ

then no one can deny it has come.

خافضة رافعة ٣

خَافِضَةٌۭ رَّافِعَةٌ ٣

ﮕ

ﮖ

ﮗ

It will debase ˹some˺ and elevate ˹others˺.¹

اذا رجت الارض رجا ٤

إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّۭا ٤

ﮘ

ﮙ

ﮚ

ﮛ

ﮜ

When the earth will be violently shaken,

وبست الجبال بسا ٥

وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّۭا ٥

ﮝ

ﮞ

ﮟ

ﮠ

and the mountains will be crushed to pieces,

فكانت هباء منبثا ٦

فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءًۭ مُّنۢبَثًّۭا ٦

ﮡ

ﮢ

ﮣ

ﮤ

becoming scattered ˹particles of˺ dust,

56:7

وكنتم ازواجا ثلاثة ٧

وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ثَلَـٰثَةًۭ ٧

ﮥ

ﮦ

ﮧ

ﮨ

you will ˹all˺ be ˹divided into˺ three groups:

56:8

فاصحاب الميمنة ما اصحاب الميمنة ٨

فَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ ٨

ﮪ

ﮫ

ﮬ

ﮭ

ﮮ

the people of the right, how ˹blessed˺ will they be;

56:9

واصحاب المشامة ما اصحاب المشامة ٩

وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ ٩

ﮰ

ﮱ

ﯓ

ﯔ

ﯕ

the people of the left, how ˹miserable˺ will they be;

والسابقون السابقون ١٠

وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ١٠

ﯖ

ﯗ

ﯘ

and the foremost ˹in faith˺ will be the foremost ˹in Paradise˺.

اولايك المقربون ١١

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ١١

ﯙ

ﯚ

ﯛ

They are the ones nearest ˹to Allah˺,

في جنات النعيم ١٢

فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ١٢

ﯜ

ﯝ

ﯞ

ﯟ

in the Gardens of Bliss.

ثلة من الاولين ١٣

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٣

ﯠ

ﯡ

ﯢ

ﯣ

˹They will be˺ a multitude from earlier generations

56:14

وقليل من الاخرين ١٤

وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ ١٤

ﯥ

ﯦ

ﯧ

and a few from later generations.

على سرر موضونة ١٥

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مَّوْضُونَةٍۢ ١٥

ﯨ

ﯩ

ﯪ

ﯫ

˹All will be˺ on jewelled thrones,

متكيين عليها متقابلين ١٦

مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَـٰبِلِينَ ١٦

ﯭ

ﯮ

reclining face to face.
