أي { وَجَاءَتْ } هذا الغافل المكذب بآيات الله { سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ } الذي لا مرد له ولا مناص، { ذَلِكَ مَا كُنْتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ } أي: تتأخر وتنكص عنه.
