78:1

عم يتساءلون ١

عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ١

ﭑ
ﭒ
ﭓ

What are they asking one another about?

عن النبا العظيم ٢

عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٢

ﭔ

ﭕ

ﭖ

ﭗ

About the momentous news,

الذي هم فيه مختلفون ٣

ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ ٣

ﭘ

ﭙ

ﭚ

ﭛ

ﭜ

over which they disagree.¹

كلا سيعلمون ٤

كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ٤

ﭝ

ﭞ

ﭟ

But no! They will come to know.

ثم كلا سيعلمون ٥

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ٥

ﭠ

ﭡ

ﭣ

Again, no! They will come to know.

الم نجعل الارض مهادا ٦

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَـٰدًۭا ٦

ﭤ

ﭥ

ﭦ

ﭧ

ﭨ

Have We not smoothed out the earth ˹like a bed˺,

والجبال اوتادا ٧

وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًۭا ٧

ﭩ

ﭪ

ﭫ

and ˹made˺ the mountains as ˹its˺ pegs,¹

وخلقناكم ازواجا ٨

وَخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ٨

ﭬ

ﭭ

ﭮ

and created you in pairs,

وجعلنا نومكم سباتا ٩

وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًۭا ٩

ﭯ

ﭰ

ﭱ

ﭲ

and made your sleep for rest,

وجعلنا الليل لباسا ١٠

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا ١٠

ﭳ

ﭴ

ﭵ

ﭶ

and made the night as a cover,

وجعلنا النهار معاشا ١١

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًۭا ١١

ﭷ

ﭸ

ﭹ

ﭺ

and made the day for livelihood,

وبنينا فوقكم سبعا شدادا ١٢

وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًۭا شِدَادًۭا ١٢

ﭼ

ﭽ

and built above you seven mighty ˹heavens˺,

وجعلنا سراجا وهاجا ١٣

وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًۭا وَهَّاجًۭا ١٣

ﮂ

ﮃ

and placed ˹in them˺ a shining lamp,

وانزلنا من المعصرات ماء ثجاجا ١٤

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءًۭ ثَجَّاجًۭا ١٤

ﮉ

and sent down from rainclouds pouring water,

لنخرج به حبا ونباتا ١٥

لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّۭا وَنَبَاتًۭا ١٥

producing by it grain and ˹various˺ plants,

وجنات الفافا ١٦

وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا ١٦

ﮏ

ﮐ

ﮑ

and dense orchards?

ان يوم الفصل كان ميقاتا ١٧

إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَـٰتًۭا ١٧

Indeed, the Day of ˹Final˺ Decision is an appointed time—

يوم ينفخ في الصور فتاتون افواجا ١٨

يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًۭا ١٨

ﮜ

ﮝ

ﮞ

˹it is˺ the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will ˹all˺ come forth in crowds.

وفتحت السماء فكانت ابوابا ١٩

وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًۭا ١٩

The sky will be ˹split˺ open, becoming ˹many˺ gates,

وسيرت الجبال فكانت سرابا ٢٠

وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ٢٠

ﮤ

ﮥ

ﮦ

and the mountains will be blown away, becoming ˹like˺ a mirage.

ان جهنم كانت مرصادا ٢١

إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًۭا ٢١

Indeed, Hell is lying in ambush

للطاغين مابا ٢٢

لِّلطَّـٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًۭا ٢٢

ﮮ

ﮯ

ﮰ

as a home for the transgressors,

لابثين فيها احقابا ٢٣

لَّـٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًۭا ٢٣

ﯔ

ﯕ

where they will remain for ˹endless˺ ages.

لا يذوقون فيها بردا ولا شرابا ٢٤

لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًۭا وَلَا شَرَابًا ٢٤

ﯛ

ﯜ

There they will not taste any coolness or drink,

الا حميما وغساقا ٢٥

إِلَّا حَمِيمًۭا وَغَسَّاقًۭا ٢٥

ﯞ

ﯟ

ﯠ

except boiling water and ˹oozing˺ pus—

جزاء وفاقا ٢٦

جَزَآءًۭ وِفَاقًا ٢٦

ﯡ

ﯢ

ﯣ

a fitting reward.

انهم كانوا لا يرجون حسابا ٢٧

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًۭا ٢٧

ﯩ

For they never expected any reckoning,

وكذبوا باياتنا كذابا ٢٨

وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا كِذَّابًۭا ٢٨

ﯫ

ﯬ

ﯭ

and totally rejected Our signs.

وكل شيء احصيناه كتابا ٢٩

وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ كِتَـٰبًۭا ٢٩

ﯮ

ﯯ

ﯱ

ﯲ

And We have everything recorded precisely.

فذوقوا فلن نزيدكم الا عذابا ٣٠

فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ٣٠

ﯳ

ﯷ

ﯸ

˹So the deniers will be told,˺ “Taste ˹the punishment˺, for all you will get from Us is more torment.”
