Al-Furqane 25:20 وما ارسلنا قبلك من المرسلين الا انهم لياكلون الطعام ويمشون في الاسواق وجعلنا بعضكم لبعض فتنة اتصبرون وكان ربك بصيرا ٢٠
وَمَآ
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
قَبۡلَكَ
مِنَ
ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
إِلَّآ
إِنَّهُمۡ
لَيَأۡكُلُونَ
ٱلطَّعَامَ
وَيَمۡشُونَ
فِي
ٱلۡأَسۡوَاقِۗ
وَجَعَلۡنَا
بَعۡضَكُمۡ
لِبَعۡضٖ
فِتۡنَةً
أَتَصۡبِرُونَۗ
وَكَانَ
رَبُّكَ
بَصِيرٗا
٢٠
Nous n’avons envoyé avant toi que des Messagers qui se nourrissaient et fréquentaient les marchés. Nous vous éprouvons ainsi les uns par les autres. Serez-vous à la hauteur de cette épreuve ? Ton Seigneur est si clairvoyant.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
فَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفاً وَلاَ نَصْراً
(then you can neither avert nor find help.) means: they will not be able to avert the punishment from themselves, nor will they be able to help themselves.
