An-Nahl 16:123 ثم اوحينا اليك ان اتبع ملة ابراهيم حنيفا وما كان من المشركين ١٢٣
ثُمَّ
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
إِلَيۡكَ
أَنِ
ٱتَّبِعۡ
مِلَّةَ
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
حَنِيفٗاۖ
وَمَا
كَانَ
مِنَ
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
١٢٣
Puis Nous t’avons révélé : « Suis la religion d’Abraham qui fut monothéiste exclusif et n’était point du nombre des associâtres. »

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
He selected him, as Allah says :
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَآ إِبْرَهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِهِ عَـلِمِينَ
(And before, We indeed gave Ibrahim his integrity, and We were indeed most knowledgeable about him)(21:51). Then Allah says:
وَهَدَاهُ إِلَى صِرَطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
