Saba' 34:54 وحيل بينهم وبين ما يشتهون كما فعل باشياعهم من قبل انهم كانوا في شك مريب ٥٤
وَحِيلَ
بَيۡنَهُمۡ

يَشۡتَهُونَ
كَمَا
فُعِلَ
بِأَشۡيَاعِهِم
مِّن
قَبۡلُۚ
إِنَّهُمۡ
كَانُواْ

شَكّٖ
مُّرِيبِۭ

Ils seront alors séparés de l’objet de leur désir1, à l’image de leurs semblables avant eux qui, sur terre, furent remplis de doutes au sujet de la Résurrection.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
وَأُخِذُواْ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
(and they will be seized from a near place.) means, they will not even be given the slightest chance of escape, but they will be seized from the first instant. Al-Hasan Al-Basri said: "When they come forth from their graves."
