At-Tawbah 9:38 يا ايها الذين امنوا ما لكم اذا قيل لكم انفروا في سبيل الله اثاقلتم الى الارض ارضيتم بالحياة الدنيا من الاخرة فما متاع الحياة الدنيا في الاخرة الا قليل ٣٨
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
ٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
مَا
لَكُمۡ
إِذَا
قِيلَ
لَكُمُ
ٱنفِرُواْ
فِي
سَبِيلِ
ٱللَّهِ
ٱثَّاقَلۡتُمۡ
إِلَى
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
أَرَضِيتُم
بِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
مِنَ
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ
فَمَا
مَتَٰعُ
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
فِي
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
إِلَّا
قَلِيلٌ
٣٨
O voi che credete! Perché quando vi si dice: «Lanciatevi [in campo] per la causa di Allah», siete [come] inchiodati alla terra 1 ? La vita terrena vi attira di più di quella ultima? Di fronte all’altra vita il godimento di quella terrena è ben poca cosa.

Admonishing clinging to Life rather than rushing to perform Jihad
Allah admonishes those who lagged behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the battle of Tabuk, at a time when fruits were ripe and shades tempting in the intense and terrible heat,
يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُم
