At-Tariq 86:17 فمهل الكافرين امهلهم رويدا ١٧
فَمَهِّلِ
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ
رُوَيۡدَۢا
١٧
Concedi una dilazione ai miscredenti, da’ loro un po’ di tempo. 1 Abbiamo tradotto con «astro notturno» il termine arabo «at-târiq» che implica il concetto di venire di notte inaspettatamente 2 Vedi XIII,3 «di ricondurlo»: alla vita eterna dopo la morte. 4 «né forza né ausilio»: per sottrarsi al suo destino. 5 Il cielo nel suo ciclo di evaporazione-nuvole-precipitazioni che continuerà incessantemente fino alla fine di questo mondo. 6 «quando si fende»: in conseguenza della spinta della vegetazione che cresce. 7 Il Sublime Corano, Rivelazione ultima e Legge finale per tutti gli uomini.

Swearing to the Truthfulness of the Qur'an and the Failure of Those Who oppose it
Ibn `Abbas said, "Ar-raj` means rain." It has also been narrated from him that he said, "It means the clouds that contain rain." He also said,
