Al-Isra 17:67 واذا مسكم الضر في البحر ضل من تدعون الا اياه فلما نجاكم الى البر اعرضتم وكان الانسان كفورا ٦٧
وَإِذَا
مَسَّكُمُ
ٱلضُّرُّ
فِي
ٱلۡبَحۡرِ
ضَلَّ
مَن
تَدۡعُونَ
إِلَّآ
إِيَّاهُۖ
فَلَمَّا
نَجَّىٰكُمۡ
إِلَى
ٱلۡبَرِّ
أَعۡرَضۡتُمۡۚ
وَكَانَ
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
كَفُورًا
٦٧
En als iets op zee jullie schaadt, dan zullen degenen die jullie naast Hem zullen aanroepen verdwijnen, behalve Hij. Maar als Hij jullie in veiligheid aan land brengt, keren jullie je (van Hem) af. En de mens is altijd ondankbaar.

When Harm befalls Them, the Disbelievers do not remember anyone except Allah
Allah tells us that when harm befalls people, they call on Him, turning to Him and sincerely beseeching Him. Hence Allah says:
وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الْضُّرُّ فِى الْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَن تَدْعُونَ إِلاَ إِيَّاهُ
