Al-Anfal 8:33 وما كان الله ليعذبهم وانت فيهم وما كان الله معذبهم وهم يستغفرون ٣٣
وَمَا
كَانَ
ٱللَّهُ
لِيُعَذِّبَهُمۡ
وَأَنتَ
فِيهِمۡۚ
وَمَا
كَانَ
ٱللَّهُ
مُعَذِّبَهُمۡ
وَهُمۡ
يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ
٣٣
En Allah zal hen niet straffen, terwijl jij (O Mohammed) nog in hun midden verkeert, noch zal Hij hen straffen als zij vergeving zoeken.

The Quraysh claimed They can produce Something similar to the Qur'an
Allah describes the disbelief, transgression, rebellion, as well as misguided statements that the pagans of Quraysh used to utter when they heard Allah's Ayat being recited to them,
