Saba 34:54 وحيل بينهم وبين ما يشتهون كما فعل باشياعهم من قبل انهم كانوا في شك مريب ٥٤

يَشۡتَهُونَ
كَمَا
فُعِلَ
بِأَشۡيَاعِهِم
مِّن
قَبۡلُۚ
إِنَّهُمۡ
كَانُواْ
فِي
شَكّٖ
مُّرِيبِۭ
٥٤
En er zal een barrière geplaatst worden tussen hen en hun verlangens (ofwel door de kracht van hun geloof, ofwel door de zwakte van hun toegeving), zoals dat in het verleden is gedaan bij (hun) soortgelijke volkeren. Waarlijk, zij verkeerden in grote twijfel.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
وَأُخِذُواْ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
(and they will be seized from a near place.) means, they will not even be given the slightest chance of escape, but they will be seized from the first instant. Al-Hasan Al-Basri said: "When they come forth from their graves."
