At-Tawbah 9:114 وما كان استغفار ابراهيم لابيه الا عن موعدة وعدها اياه فلما تبين له انه عدو لله تبرا منه ان ابراهيم لاواه حليم ١١٤
وَمَا
كَانَ
ٱسۡتِغۡفَارُ
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
لِأَبِيهِ
إِلَّا
عَن
مَّوۡعِدَةٖ
وَعَدَهَآ
إِيَّاهُ
فَلَمَّا
تَبَيَّنَ
لَهُۥٓ
أَنَّهُۥ
عَدُوّٞ
لِّلَّهِ
تَبَرَّأَ
مِنۡهُۚ
إِنَّ
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
لَأَوَّٰهٌ
حَلِيمٞ
١١٤
En het verzoek van Ibrahim voor de vergiffenis voor zijn vader was slechts vanwege een belofte die hij hem had gegeven. Maar toen het hem duidelijk werd dat hij een vijand van Allah was, verwijderde hij zichzelf van hem. Waarlijk, Ibrahim riep Allah in nederigheid aan en verheerlijkte Hem en was verdraagzaam.
