Al-Qasas 28:53 واذا يتلى عليهم قالوا امنا به انه الحق من ربنا انا كنا من قبله مسلمين ٥٣
وَإِذَا
يُتۡلَىٰ
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
قَالُوٓاْ
ءَامَنَّا
بِهِۦٓ
إِنَّهُ
ٱلۡحَقُّ
مِن
رَّبِّنَآ
إِنَّا
كُنَّا
مِن
قَبۡلِهِۦ
مُسۡلِمِينَ
٥٣
En wanneer hij (de Koran) aan hen voorgedragen wordt, zeggen zij: "Wij geloven erin. Voorwaar, het is de Waarheid van onze Heer. Voorwaar, wij hadden ons ervóór al overgegeven (aan Allah)." En welke dingen jullie ook gegeven werden: zij zijn de genietingen van het wereldse leven en haar versiering. Maar wat van de Zijde van Allah komt is beter en blijvender. Begrijpen jullie dan niet?

The Believers among the People of the Book
Allah tells us that the pious scholars among the People of the Book believe in the Qur'an, as He says:
الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَـهُمُ الْكِتَـبَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلاَوَتِهِ أُوْلَـئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ
(Those to whom We gave the Book recite it as it should be recite
