The Night
092

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

92:1

والليل اذا يغشى ١

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ ١

ﮖ
ﮗ
ﮘ
ﮙ

By the night when it covers,

والنهار اذا تجلى ٢

وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ٢

ﮚ

ﮛ

ﮜ

ﮝ

and the day when it shines!

وما خلق الذكر والانثى ٣

وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ٣

ﮞ

ﮟ

ﮠ

ﮡ

ﮢ

And by ˹the One˺ Who created male and female!

92:4

ان سعيكم لشتى ٤

إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ ٤

ﮣ

ﮤ

ﮥ

ﮦ

Surely the ends you strive for are diverse.

فاما من اعطى واتقى ٥

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ ٥

ﮧ

ﮨ

ﮩ

ﮪ

ﮫ

As for the one who is charitable, mindful ˹of Allah˺,

92:6

وصدق بالحسنى ٦

وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ٦

ﮬ

ﮭ

ﮮ

and ˹firmly˺ believes in the finest reward,

92:7

فسنيسره لليسرى ٧

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٧

ﮯ

ﮰ

ﮱ

We will facilitate for them the Way of Ease.

واما من بخل واستغنى ٨

وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ ٨

ﯓ

ﯔ

ﯕ

ﯖ

ﯗ

And as for the one who is stingy, indifferent ˹to Allah˺,

92:9

وكذب بالحسنى ٩

وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ٩

ﯘ

ﯙ

ﯚ

and ˹staunchly˺ denies the finest reward,

فسنيسره للعسرى ١٠

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ١٠

ﯛ

ﯜ

ﯝ

We will facilitate for them the path of hardship.

92:11

وما يغني عنه ماله اذا تردى ١١

وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ ١١

ﯞ

ﯟ

ﯠ

ﯡ

ﯢ

ﯣ

ﯤ

And their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they tumble ˹into Hell˺.

ان علينا للهدى ١٢

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ ١٢

ﯥ

ﯦ

ﯧ

ﯨ

It is certainly upon Us ˹alone˺ to show ˹the way to˺ guidance.

92:13

وان لنا للاخرة والاولى ١٣

وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ ١٣

ﯩ

ﯪ

ﯫ

ﯬ

ﯭ

And surely to Us ˹alone˺ belong this life and the next.

فانذرتكم نارا تلظى ١٤

فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًۭا تَلَظَّىٰ ١٤

ﯮ

ﯯ

ﯰ

ﯱ

And so I have warned you of a raging Fire,
