يا بني ادم قد انزلنا عليكم لباسا يواري سواتكم وريشا ولباس التقوى ذالك خير ذالك من ايات الله لعلهم يذكرون ٢٦

يَـٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًۭا يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَٰتِكُمْ وَرِيشًۭا ۖ وَلِبَاسُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ ٢٦

يَٰبَنِيٓ

ءَادَمَ

قَدۡ

أَنزَلۡنَا

عَلَيۡكُمۡ

لِبَاسٗا

يُوَٰرِي

سَوۡءَٰتِكُمۡ

وَرِيشٗاۖ

وَلِبَاسُ

ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ

ذَٰلِكَ

خَيۡرٞۚ

ذَٰلِكَ

مِنۡ

ءَايَٰتِ

ٱللَّهِ

لَعَلَّهُمۡ

يَذَّكَّرُونَ

٢٦

O bijtë e Ademit, Ne ju dërguam rroba që të mbuloni vendet e turpshme, si edhe për zbukurim; por, petku i devotshmërisë është më i miri. Këto janë disa shenja të Allahut, që ju të merrni këshillë.

وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَى

wa-libāsu t-taqwā

“But the garment of piety, that is better”

This is effectively a new sentence after the description of what God has provided.

وَلِبَاسَ التَّقْوَى

wa-libāsa t-taqwā

“...and the garment of piety: that is better”

Here, the phrase is conjoined to the things God has ‘sent down’, and then this latter item is described as being superior.

Shpjegim

These readings convey the same meaning, though the second has the added aspect of piety being a provision from God [Makki].

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
