Al-A'raf 7:164 واذ قالت امة منهم لم تعظون قوما الله مهلكهم او معذبهم عذابا شديدا قالوا معذرة الى ربكم ولعلهم يتقون ١٦٤
وَإِذۡ
قَالَتۡ
أُمَّةٞ
مِّنۡهُمۡ
لِمَ
تَعِظُونَ
قَوۡمًا
ٱللَّهُ
مُهۡلِكُهُمۡ
أَوۡ
مُعَذِّبُهُمۡ
عَذَابٗا
شَدِيدٗاۖ
قَالُواْ
مَعۡذِرَةً
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّكُمۡ
وَلَعَلَّهُمۡ
يَتَّقُونَ
١٦٤
Onlardan bir topluluk şöyle diyordu: "Allah’ın helâk edeceği ve şiddetli bir ceza ile cezalandıracağı topluma niye öğüt veriyorsunuz?" Onlar da: "Rabbinize karşı bir mazeret beyan edelim diye bir de belki sakınırlar/takvalı olurlar diye öğüt veriyoruz." dediler.
