Tafsir: Ash-Shuraa 42:15

فلذالك فادع واستقم كما امرت ولا تتبع اهواءهم وقل امنت بما انزل الله من كتاب وامرت لاعدل بينكم الله ربنا وربكم لنا اعمالنا ولكم اعمالكم لا حجة بيننا وبينكم الله يجمع بيننا واليه المصير ١٥

فَلِذَٰلِكَ فَٱدْعُ ۖ وَٱسْتَقِمْ كَمَآ أُمِرْتَ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۖ وَقُلْ ءَامَنتُ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن كِتَـٰبٍۢ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَعْدِلَ بَيْنَكُمُ ۖ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَنَآ أَعْمَـٰلُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَـٰلُكُمْ ۖ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ ۖ ٱللَّهُ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ ١٥

فَلِذَٰلِكَ

فَٱدۡعُۖ

وَٱسۡتَقِمۡ

كَمَآ

أُمِرۡتَۖ

وَلَا

تَتَّبِعۡ

أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۖ

وَقُلۡ

ءَامَنتُ

بِمَآ

أَنزَلَ

ٱللَّهُ

مِن

كِتَٰبٖۖ

وَأُمِرۡتُ

لِأَعۡدِلَ

بَيۡنَكُمُۖ

ٱللَّهُ

رَبُّنَا

وَرَبُّكُمۡۖ

لَنَآ

أَعۡمَٰلُنَا

وَلَكُمۡ

أَعۡمَٰلُكُمۡۖ

لَا

حُجَّةَ

بَيۡنَنَا

وَبَيۡنَكُمُۖ

ٱللَّهُ

يَجۡمَعُ

بَيۡنَنَاۖ

وَإِلَيۡهِ

ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

١٥

だからあなたは（人を純正な教えに）招き，命じられたように堅忍不抜であれ。かれらの（虚しい）望みに従ってはならない。そして言ってやるがいい。「わたしはアッラーが下された啓典を信奉する。わたしはあなたがたの間を公正に統治するよう命じられた。アッラーはわたしたちの主であり，あなたがたの主であられる。わたしたちには，わたしたちの行いの報いがあり，またあなたがたには，あなたがたの行いの報いがある。わたしたちとあなたがたとの間に，異論などはないのである。アッラーは，わたしたちを（一緒に）召集されよう。かれこそが（わたしたちの）帰る所なのである。」

Vì vậy, Ngươi hãy mời gọi (nhân loại đến với Islam); Ngươi hãy đứng vững như đã được lệnh; Ngươi chớ đi theo xu hướng của họ; và Ngươi hãy nói (với họ): “Ta tin nơi những điều mà Allah đã ban xuống trong Kinh Sách và Ta được lệnh phải thực thi công lý giữa các ngươi. Allah là Thượng Đế của Ta và là Thượng Đế của các ngươi. Ta chịu trách nhiệm cho việc làm của Ta và các ngươi chịu trách nhiệm cho việc làm của các ngươi, giữa chúng ta không còn gì phải tranh luận nữa. (Rồi đây) Allah sẽ triệu tập tất cả chúng ta lại và chúng ta phải quay trở về với Ngài (để chịu sự xét xử).”

Here the ‘Book’ means the original religion which was revealed through the prophets and ‘desire’ (ahwa’) refers to the fabrications which human beings on their own added to the original religion of Truth. The Prophet was instructed to be firm on the original religion. Even on the grounds of dawah considerations, he was forbidden to make any concessions to man-made religions. He was told that his duty was to uphold justice, i.e. to take decisions about religious differences and show what was right and what was wrong; which part was from God and which was later added to religion by way of human interpolation. ‘There is no contention between us and you’ means that, in spite of your quarrelling with us, we will not start quarrelling with you. In other words, even if you introduce negative tactics, we will unilaterally adhere to our positive approach. The responsibility of a dayee is simply to convey the message of Truth. All other matters are left to God. Harassing those who have accepted the Truth and embroiling them in unnecessary wrangling is the most oppressive and unworthy practice. Those who do so run the risk of incurring the wrath of God and facing severe punishment in the Hereafter.
