Al-Anfal 8:44 واذ يريكموهم اذ التقيتم في اعينكم قليلا ويقللكم في اعينهم ليقضي الله امرا كان مفعولا والى الله ترجع الامور ٤٤
وَإِذۡ
يُرِيكُمُوهُمۡ
إِذِ
ٱلۡتَقَيۡتُمۡ
فِيٓ
أَعۡيُنِكُمۡ
قَلِيلٗا
وَيُقَلِّلُكُمۡ
فِيٓ
أَعۡيُنِهِمۡ
لِيَقۡضِيَ
ٱللَّهُ
أَمۡرٗا
كَانَ
مَفۡعُولٗاۗ
وَإِلَى
ٱللَّهِ
تُرۡجَعُ
ٱلۡأُمُورُ
٤٤
また、あなた方が会した時に、かれがあなた方の目には彼らを少なくお見せになり、彼らの目にもあなた方を少なくお見せになった時のこと[1]（を思い出すのだ）。（それは）アッラー*が、実現されることになっていたことをご決行されるためだった。アッラー*にこそ、全ての物事は戻り行く。 1

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
Allah made each Group look few in the Eye of the Other
Mujahid said, "In a dream, Allah showed the Prophet the enemy as few. The Prophet conveyed this news to his Companions and their resolve strengthened." Similar was said by Ibn Ishaq and several others. Allah said,
