Al-A'raf 7:116 قال القوا فلما القوا سحروا اعين الناس واسترهبوهم وجاءوا بسحر عظيم ١١٦
قَالَ
أَلۡقُواْۖ
فَلَمَّآ
أَلۡقَوۡاْ
سَحَرُوٓاْ
أَعۡيُنَ
ٱلنَّاسِ
وَٱسۡتَرۡهَبُوهُمۡ
وَجَآءُو
بِسِحۡرٍ
عَظِيمٖ
١١٦
Han svarade: "Kasta ni!" Och när de kastade [sina stavar] förvände de synen på människorna och satte skräck i dem och gav prov på stor trolldomskonst.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحْنُ الْمُلْقِينَ
(Either you throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw) before you. In another Ayah, they said,
