Al-Baqarah 2:272 ۞ ليس عليك هداهم ولاكن الله يهدي من يشاء وما تنفقوا من خير فلانفسكم وما تنفقون الا ابتغاء وجه الله وما تنفقوا من خير يوف اليكم وانتم لا تظلمون ٢٧٢
۞ لَّيۡسَ
عَلَيۡكَ
هُدَىٰهُمۡ
وَلَٰكِنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
يَهۡدِي
مَن
يَشَآءُۗ
وَمَا
تُنفِقُواْ
مِنۡ
خَيۡرٖ
فَلِأَنفُسِكُمۡۚ
وَمَا
تُنفِقُونَ
إِلَّا
ٱبۡتِغَآءَ
وَجۡهِ
ٱللَّهِۚ
وَمَا
تُنفِقُواْ
مِنۡ
خَيۡرٖ
يُوَفَّ
إِلَيۡكُمۡ
وَأَنتُمۡ
لَا
تُظۡلَمُونَ
٢٧٢
Nu e treaba ta, [o, Muhammed], călăuzirea lor [a celor nelegiuiţi pe calea cea bună], căci Allah călăuzeşte pe cine voieşte El şi orice bunuri daţi voi ele sunt pentru sufletele voastre. Voi nu daţi decât căutând Faţa lui Allah1. Şi pentru toate bunurile pe care le dăruiţi veţi fi răsplătiţi [din timp]. Şi voi nu veţi fi nedreptăţiţi.

Abu `Abdur-Rahman An-Nasa'i recorded that Ibn `Abbas said that they, "Disliked giving charity to their polytheist relatives, but were later on allowed to give it to them when they inquired about this matter, and this Ayah was revealed,
