Al-Ma'idah 5:46 وقفينا على اثارهم بعيسى ابن مريم مصدقا لما بين يديه من التوراة واتيناه الانجيل فيه هدى ونور ومصدقا لما بين يديه من التوراة وهدى وموعظة للمتقين ٤٦
وَقَفَّيۡنَا
عَلَىٰٓ
ءَاثَٰرِهِم
بِعِيسَى
ٱبۡنِ
مَرۡيَمَ
مُصَدِّقٗا
لِّمَا
بَيۡنَ
يَدَيۡهِ
مِنَ
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِۖ
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
ٱلۡإِنجِيلَ
فِيهِ
هُدٗى
وَنُورٞ
وَمُصَدِّقٗا
لِّمَا
بَيۡنَ
يَدَيۡهِ
مِنَ
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ
وَهُدٗى
وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ
لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
٤٦
Poslije njih smo Isaa, sina Merjemina, poslali, koji je priznavao Tevrat, prije njega objavljen, a njemu smo dali Indžil, u kome je bila uputa i svjetlo, te da potvrdi Tevrat, prije njega objavljen, u kome je također bila uputa i pouka bogobojaznima,

Allah Mentions `Isa and Praises the Injil
Allah said,
وَقَفَّيْنَا
(and We sent...) meaning, We sent
عَلَى ءَاثَـرِهِمْ
(in their footsteps) meaning the Prophets of the Children of Israel,
بِعَيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَوْرَاةِ
(`Isa, son of Maryam, confirming the Tawrah
