Al-Mu'minun 23:83 لقد وعدنا نحن واباونا هاذا من قبل ان هاذا الا اساطير الاولين ٨٣
لَقَدۡ
وُعِدۡنَا
نَحۡنُ
وَءَابَآؤُنَا
هَٰذَا
مِن
قَبۡلُ
إِنۡ
هَٰذَآ
إِلَّآ
أَسَٰطِيرُ
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
٨٣
(بلكې نه كېږو ځكه چې) یقینًا یقینًا مونږ ته او زمونږ پلرونو ته دا وعده له دې نه مخكې (هم) راكړى شوې وه، نه دي دا خبرې مګر د ړومبنو خلقو باطلې قصې دي
Read Tafsir
Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَـهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ
(And indeed We seized them with punishment,) means, `We tried and tested them with difficulties and calamities.' His saying:
فَمَا اسْتَكَانُواْ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
(but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke with submission to Hi
…وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَـهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ
(And indeed We seized them with punishment,) means, `We tried and tested them with difficulties and calamities.' Hi
