Ali 'Imran 3:75 ۞ ومن اهل الكتاب من ان تامنه بقنطار يوده اليك ومنهم من ان تامنه بدينار لا يوده اليك الا ما دمت عليه قايما ذالك بانهم قالوا ليس علينا في الاميين سبيل ويقولون على الله الكذب وهم يعلمون ٧٥
۞ وَمِنۡ
أَهۡلِ
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
مَنۡ
إِن
تَأۡمَنۡهُ
بِقِنطَارٖ
يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ
إِلَيۡكَ
وَمِنۡهُم
مَّنۡ
إِن
تَأۡمَنۡهُ
بِدِينَارٖ
لَّا
يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ
إِلَيۡكَ
إِلَّا
مَا
دُمۡتَ
عَلَيۡهِ
قَآئِمٗاۗ
ذَٰلِكَ
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
قَالُواْ
لَيۡسَ
عَلَيۡنَا
فِي
ٱلۡأُمِّيِّـۧنَ
سَبِيلٞ
وَيَقُولُونَ
عَلَى
ٱللَّهِ
ٱلۡكَذِبَ
وَهُمۡ
يَعۡلَمُونَ
٧٥
And among the People of the Book there are some who would restore you even if you were to entrust a treasure of gold, and of them there are some whom were you to entrust with one gold piece, will not restore it unless you stand over them. That is because they say: 'We will not be taken to task for whatever we may do to non-Jews (ummls).1 Thus they falsely fix a lie upon Allah, and do so wittingly.

How Trustworthy Are the Jews
Allah states that there are deceitful people among the Jews. He also warns the faithful against being deceived by them, because some of them,
مَنْ إِن تَأْمَنْهُ بِقِنْطَارٍ
(if entrusted with a Qintar (a great amount)) of money,
