At-Tawbah 9:12 وان نكثوا ايمانهم من بعد عهدهم وطعنوا في دينكم فقاتلوا ايمة الكفر انهم لا ايمان لهم لعلهم ينتهون ١٢
وَإِن
نَّكَثُوٓاْ
أَيۡمَٰنَهُم
مِّنۢ
بَعۡدِ
عَهۡدِهِمۡ
وَطَعَنُواْ
فِي
دِينِكُمۡ
فَقَٰتِلُوٓاْ
أَئِمَّةَ
ٱلۡكُفۡرِ
إِنَّهُمۡ
لَآ
أَيۡمَٰنَ
لَهُمۡ
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
يَنتَهُونَ
١٢
また、もし彼ら（シルク*の徒）がその協約後に確約を破り、あなた方の宗教（イスラーム*）を中傷したならば、不信仰の長たちと戦え。本当に、彼らには確約などないのだから。（それは）彼らが、（不信仰とイスラーム*への敵対を）止めるようにするためである。

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
Allah says, if the idolators with whom you conducted peace treaties for an appointed term break
أَيْمَـنِهِمْ
(their oaths) meaning, terms of their treaties, and covenants
وَطَعَنُواْ فِى دِينِكُمْ
(and attack your religion...) with disapproval and criticism, it is because of this that one who curses
