At-Tawbah 9:43 عفا الله عنك لم اذنت لهم حتى يتبين لك الذين صدقوا وتعلم الكاذبين ٤٣
عَفَا
ٱللَّهُ
عَنكَ
لِمَ
أَذِنتَ
لَهُمۡ
حَتَّىٰ
يَتَبَيَّنَ
لَكَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
صَدَقُواْ
وَتَعۡلَمَ
ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
٤٣
Måtte Gud unnskylde deg! Hvorfor gav du dem fritagelse før det ble klart for deg hvem som snakket sant, og du visste hvem som løy?

Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that `Awn said, "Have you heard criticism softer than this, starting with forgiveness before criticism,
عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنكَ لِمَ أَذِنتَ لَهُمْ
