Az-Zukhruf 43:24 ۞ قال اولو جيتكم باهدى مما وجدتم عليه اباءكم قالوا انا بما ارسلتم به كافرون ٢٤
۞ قَٰلَ
أَوَلَوۡ
جِئۡتُكُم
بِأَهۡدَىٰ
مِمَّا
وَجَدتُّمۡ
عَلَيۡهِ
ءَابَآءَكُمۡۖ
قَالُوٓاْ
إِنَّا
بِمَآ
أُرۡسِلۡتُم
بِهِۦ
كَٰفِرُونَ
٢٤
彼[1]は言った。「私が、あなた方が見出したあなた方の先祖のものよりも正しい導きを携えて、あなた方のもとに到来したとしても（、そうするの）か？」彼らは言った。「本当に私たちは、あなた方が携(たずさ)えて遣(つか)わされたものに対する、否定者である。」 1

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
The Idolators have no Proof
Allah condemns the idolators for worshipping others instead of Allah with no evidence or proof for doing so.
أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَـهُمْ كِتَـباً مِّن قَبْلِهِ
(Or have We given them any Book before this) means, before their idolatry.
فَهُم بِهِ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ
(to which they are hold
