Al-Isra 17:67 واذا مسكم الضر في البحر ضل من تدعون الا اياه فلما نجاكم الى البر اعرضتم وكان الانسان كفورا ٦٧
وَإِذَا
مَسَّكُمُ
ٱلضُّرُّ
فِي
ٱلۡبَحۡرِ
ضَلَّ
مَن
تَدۡعُونَ
إِلَّآ
إِيَّاهُۖ
فَلَمَّا
نَجَّىٰكُمۡ
إِلَى
ٱلۡبَرِّ
أَعۡرَضۡتُمۡۚ
وَكَانَ
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
كَفُورًا
٦٧
Y si sufren una adversidad en el mar, aquello que invocaban los abandona, excepto Él. Y cuando Él los salva (de morir ahogados) y regresan a tierra firme, Le dan la espalda, pues el hombre es desagradecido.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
When Harm befalls Them, the Disbelievers do not remember anyone except Allah
Allah tells us that when harm befalls people, they call on Him, turning to Him and sincerely beseeching Him. Hence Allah says:
وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الْضُّرُّ فِى الْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَن تَدْعُونَ إِلاَ إِيَّاهُ
