Qaf 50:36 وكم اهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هم اشد منهم بطشا فنقبوا في البلاد هل من محيص ٣٦
وَكَمۡ
أَهۡلَكۡنَا
قَبۡلَهُم
مِّن
قَرۡنٍ
هُمۡ
أَشَدُّ
مِنۡهُم
بَطۡشٗا
فَنَقَّبُواْ
فِي
ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ
هَلۡ
مِن
مَّحِيصٍ
٣٦
¡Y cuántas generaciones destruimos con anterioridad a pesar de que eran más fuertes que ellos y viajaron por la tierra (dejando vestigios de su poder)! ¿Acaso pudieron encontrar un refugio (que los protegiera de Nuestro castigo)?

Warning the Disbelievers of the imminent Torment; commanding the Prophet to pray and have Patience
Allah the Exalted asks, `how many We have destroyed before these denying disbelievers'
مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشاً
(a generation who were stronger in power than they.) they were more numerous
