Ya-Sin 36:39 والقمر قدرناه منازل حتى عاد كالعرجون القديم ٣٩
وَٱلۡقَمَرَ
قَدَّرۡنَٰهُ
مَنَازِلَ
حَتَّىٰ
عَادَ
كَٱلۡعُرۡجُونِ
ٱلۡقَدِيمِ
٣٩
و براى ماه [نیز] منزلگاههایی مقرر نمودهایم تا [سرانجام از قرص كامل به هلال و] به شکل شاخۀ خشک خرما بازگردد.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
Among the Signs of the Might and Power of Allah are the Night and Day, and the Sun and Moon
يُغْشِى الَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا
(He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly) (7:54). Allah says here:
