Fatir 35:42 واقسموا بالله جهد ايمانهم لين جاءهم نذير ليكونن اهدى من احدى الامم فلما جاءهم نذير ما زادهم الا نفورا ٤٢
وَأَقۡسَمُواْ
بِٱللَّهِ
جَهۡدَ
أَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ
لَئِن
جَآءَهُمۡ
نَذِيرٞ
لَّيَكُونُنَّ
أَهۡدَىٰ
مِنۡ
إِحۡدَى
ٱلۡأُمَمِۖ
فَلَمَّا
جَآءَهُمۡ
نَذِيرٞ
مَّا
زَادَهُمۡ
إِلَّا
نُفُورًا
٤٢
Abagararije mu bwoko bw’Abakorayishi, bararahiye bararengwa kw’Izina ry’Imana Allah, indahiro zitabaho, ko mu gihe boshikirwa n’Umugabisha abagabisha ku bihano vy’Imana Allah, bazomwumvira bakaba abagororotsi kurusha abayahudi n’abanaswara. Igitangaje rero, ni uko bamaze gushikirwa n’Umugabisha Muhamadi (nyakugira amahoro n’impuhwe z’Imana Allah), ata co vyabongerereje kiretse ubugaba bwo kutikebuka, guhonyanga no kwamirira kure ukuri.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
They longed for a Warner to come, but when He came, They disbelieved in Him
Allah tells us how Quraysh and the Arabs swore by Allah their most binding oath before the Messenger came to them,
لَئِن جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَى مِنْ إِحْدَى الاٍّمَمِ
(that if a warner came to them, they would
