Fatir 35:42 واقسموا بالله جهد ايمانهم لين جاءهم نذير ليكونن اهدى من احدى الامم فلما جاءهم نذير ما زادهم الا نفورا ٤٢
وَأَقۡسَمُواْ
بِٱللَّهِ
جَهۡدَ
أَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ
لَئِن
جَآءَهُمۡ
نَذِيرٞ
لَّيَكُونُنَّ
أَهۡدَىٰ
مِنۡ
إِحۡدَى
ٱلۡأُمَمِۖ
فَلَمَّا
جَآءَهُمۡ
نَذِيرٞ
مَّا
زَادَهُمۡ
إِلَّا
نُفُورًا
٤٢
Oni przysięgali na Boga najuroczystszą przysięgą, iż jeśli przyjdzie do nich ostrzegający, to będą na prostszej drodze aniżeli jakikolwiek z narodów. Ale kiedy przyszedł do nich ostrzegający,. to tylko powiększyło ich wstręt,

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
They longed for a Warner to come, but when He came, They disbelieved in Him
Allah tells us how Quraysh and the Arabs swore by Allah their most binding oath before the Messenger came to them,
لَئِن جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَى مِنْ إِحْدَى الاٍّمَمِ
(that if a warner came to them, they would
