Day 8: Didn't a Warner Come to You?

Commentary

It almost bursts with rage; that is the intensity of anger. Its anger stems from the anger of its Lord, its Master, for when the Almighty becomes angered, it (the Hellfire) becomes angered due to His anger.

Every time a group enters the Hellfire, the keepers ask whether a warner ever came to them, and they admit that one did, but they rejected him and denied Allah’s revelation. Allah affirms His justice: He does not punish a people until a messenger has been sent to them. When the disbelievers finally face Hell, they acknowledge that had they listened or used their intellect, they would not be among its inhabitants. Realizing their guilt, they confess their sin, yet their remorse comes too late, and they are condemned to the blazing fire. 

This verse indicates that Allah تعالى does not punish anyone with the Fire except after He has first warned them in this world.

May Allah protect us. Amen 

Guidance 

Hell’s rage reflects the seriousness of Allah’s anger. This is a reminder that sins are not trivial; Allah’s displeasure has real consequences. Always consider the consequences of any decisions you make. May Allah help us.
