Hadith

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Two words are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and beloved to the Most Merciful: SubhanAllahi wa bihamdih, SubhanAllahil-Adheem.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 6682)

He also said:
“Whoever says ‘La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer’ one hundred times in a day – it will be as if he freed ten slaves, one hundred good deeds will be recorded for him, one hundred sins erased, and it will be a shield from Shaytan until evening.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3293)

And Sayyidul Istighfar (The Master Dua of seeking forgiveness):
“O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me, and I am Your servant, and I uphold Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to You Your blessings upon me, and I admit to You my sins. So forgive me, for there is none who forgives sins except You.”
Whoever says it in the morning with certainty and dies before evening, or says it in the evening and dies before morning, will be among the people of Paradise.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 6306)

Reflection & Lesson

The tongue is small but powerful. It can harm, heal, wound, or worship. And it is through this humble instrument that Allah has opened one of the easiest, most profound doors to Jannah.

Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) is not just an act of repetition. It’s a connection to Allah Himself. Every “SubhanAllah” (Glory be to Allah) is a declaration that He is free of all imperfection. Every “Alhamdulillah” (All praise is due to Allah) praises His perfection and affirms gratitude. Every “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is the Greatest) glorifies His majesty and lifts you above your worries.

And the statement of tawheed: “La ilaha illa Allah”, is the foundation of faith, a tree whose roots anchor the soul and whose fruits fill the garden of Jannah. Even saying it once sincerely is monumental. Saying it consistently is transformative.

Among the greatest forms of remembrance is Sayyidul Istighfar.  the “Master of Seeking Forgiveness.” It combines confession, repentance, and surrender. The Prophet (peace be upon him) promised Paradise for the one who says it sincerely morning and evening. What kind of mercy opens Jannah through a simple, heartfelt sentence?

These phrases don’t take time, wealth, or energy, only sincerity and constancy. When they become your daily companions, they beautify your record and purify your heart.
