Al-Kahf 18:45 واضرب لهم مثل الحياة الدنيا كماء انزلناه من السماء فاختلط به نبات الارض فاصبح هشيما تذروه الرياح وكان الله على كل شيء مقتدرا ٤٥
وَٱضۡرِبۡ
لَهُم
مَّثَلَ
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
كَمَآءٍ
أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ
مِنَ
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
فَٱخۡتَلَطَ
بِهِۦ
نَبَاتُ
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
فَأَصۡبَحَ
هَشِيمٗا
تَذۡرُوهُ
ٱلرِّيَٰحُۗ
وَكَانَ
ٱللَّهُ
عَلَىٰ
كُلِّ
شَيۡءٖ
مُّقۡتَدِرًا
٤٥
E, para eles, propõe o exemplo da vida terrena: é como água que fazemos descer do céu, e com ela se mescla a planta da terra; então, esta se torna palha, que o vento dispersa.1 E Allah, sobre todas as cousas, é Onipotente.

The Parable of the Worldly Life
Allah says:
وَاضْرِبْ لَهُم
(And mention) O Muhammad, to the people,
مَثَلُ الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا
(the parable of the worldly life), its transient nature and how it will eventually cease and come to an end.
كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلْنَاهُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَبَاتُ الاٌّ
