Qaf 50:36 وكم اهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هم اشد منهم بطشا فنقبوا في البلاد هل من محيص ٣٦
وَكَمۡ
أَهۡلَكۡنَا
قَبۡلَهُم
مِّن
قَرۡنٍ
هُمۡ
أَشَدُّ
مِنۡهُم
بَطۡشٗا
فَنَقَّبُواْ
فِي
ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ
هَلۡ
مِن
مَّحِيصٍ
٣٦
இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் எத்தனையோ கூட்டத்தாரை நாம் அழித்திருக்கிறோம். அவர்கள் இவர்களைவிட மிக பலசாலிகளாக இருந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் (தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள) பல தேசங்களில் சுற்றித் திரிந்தார்கள். (அப்போது அவர்களுக்கு) தப்ப இடம் கிடைத்ததா? (இல்லை, கிடைக்காமல் அழிந்து விட்டனர்.)

Warning the Disbelievers of the imminent Torment; commanding the Prophet to pray and have Patience
Allah the Exalted asks, `how many We have destroyed before these denying disbelievers'
مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشاً
(a generation who were stronger in power than they.) they were more numerous
